A Relaxing Surprise with a Heated Massage

It has been a long week in the office for my husband the other week, he and his team were crunching up for a deadline to bag an important client for the company. They have been working on this proposal for two months already and it was the week that will test how well the marketing team works. 

Being a full time housewife, I also feel the jitters when he mentions projects, proposals, and other stuff he has been working on. I guess you could call me a marketing-director-stage-wife. So imagine my excitement for him when he came back from office with a happy look on face. They got the client of course. 

And he also said that the client was floored with the marketing strategy presentation they gave them. I was ecstatic for that; after all I was also staying up late when my husband has to bring homework trying to finish it at the dead of the night.

To serve as an incentive and a reward for closing the partnership deal with the client, the company to which my husband works for gave them a free-seated massage right in their offices. Massage therapist line up and everyone was given a good back rub and massage to remove the knots on their backs from the stress they went through. 

I have to hand it to their boss for being nice of him to treat his employees to a relaxing and soothing massage after a long tiring work. The work shadows from my husband’s face was lifted and he was all praise and words on how great he felt after the stressful week.

He told our son about his treat and even showed him how it was done so that Joshua could imagine how it was done. And now, every after a tiring day doing gardening, washing the clothes, and cooking for the family, he would ask me to sit facing the back rest and place a pillow for me to rest my head on a do a seated massage. 

My husband said that even housewives could get a treat like that. So I looked for it on the Internet the other night, and he caught me browsing in the Internet. He chuckled and softly kissed me on the cheeks and said that I should get to sleep soon because tomorrows Joshua’s birthday party would drain the energy out of me.

Today I am blogging at how sweet my husband is for treating me to a seated massage after hosting and preparing the birthday party of our son Joshua. Now I know how great and relaxing it felt after the session. 

The tension and the soreness I felt on the back running around children and serving them food was taken away. I cannot think of any other way he could have surprised me with something that was helpful for me, and something that I really do not mind getting one again.
