Losing weight and feeling better does not really require the
use of expensive equipment and gym membership. You can start by walking until
you are comfortable with jogging and running.
I have always been self-conscious with my body. I always
feel guilty after eating a sinful meal because I know I am not the active and
out going type of person. I am having a hard time to lose the extra bulge.
Walking is a good to start being active. I like to go around
the neighborhood and then to the nearest part with a friend. In the process of
losing weight, I get to bond with a friend. One step brings you closer to a
better and new you.
When I de-stress, walking is such a relaxing feeling. You
enjoy the fresh air; I also like looking at people and what they are doing. I
do not get to think about the things that are bothering me. It helps release
tension and clears the mind from all the day’s trouble. If there are decisions
to be made after such walk, I find I am able to think clearly and avoid deicing
based on emotion.
Walking is such an easy exercise. It will not strain the
body joints and muscles at all unless you try brisk walking. It increases your
stamina and conditions your respiratory system. I do not like to be stressed
out when exercising. There are times that I feel too pressured to exercise and
lose weight that I hate the idea of doing it. But in walking, it is such a
pleasure to do. I could just walk out anytime after work and get home and get
back on the road again. I could walk my dog around the neighborhood with just
my sneakers on.
But I know walking will not give me miraculous and instant
miracle. If I want to lose weight fast, I need to increase my speed. But
walking has always been a good alternative. So even if I decide to go jogging
in the park, after a few minutes I resort back to walking which will still give
me positive results. It helps calm the mind, the spirit, you sleep better at
night and you have more energy the next day.
If you feel too stressed out to go out, get a seated massage.
Again, to be healthy again, you only need to make baby steps to reach your
desired goal. The idea is to continue moving around. Or sometimes, a seated
massage may all you need to get the extra energy to exercise. It is a sedentary
lifestyle. Just wear your running in shoes when you go out to walk. Who knows?
You might feel like running and you will be glad you went out ready.
